This project is implemented by 200 genocide convicts under community services commonly known as TIG and it is planned that 5 km of feeder roads will be terraced and constructed during a period of free months.
In his address to the convicts under community services, Minister Mussa Fazil Harerimana asked them to serve their sentences as well as required in order to contribute to the development of the country.
Having reminded them that their sentences were reduced by comparison with the committed offences, the Minister of Internal Security recommended them to continue to support the process of unity and reconciliation of the Rwandans by executing these sentences bravely. He also asked them not to commit any second offence which would be the reason for returning to the prison.
The Commissioner General of Rwanda Correctional Service, CGP Paul Rwarakabije noted that this project of terracing and construction of roads on Musave Site in Gakenke District will help this District to improve its building plots.
