According George Rwigamba, RCS Commissioner General, and construction activities by inmates helped the country save Rwf 790.8 Million.
The RCS Deputy Commissioner General Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza visited Gicumbi prison and promised inmates to tackle problems they have including blankets and other bed commodities.
However such kids live a separate life than their mothers during day time. Since they are innocent and not prisoners like their mothers.
This training workshop took place at Kigali in Lemigo Hotel from 25th to 26th November 2013 and it aimed to create a specific outreach program for female correction officers with the UN Peace Keeping missions on gender sensitivity.
On the 1st May 2013 Rwanda joined the rest of the world to celebrate the International Labor Day. For the Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS), it was an opportunity for its staff to celebrate the achievements recorded, discuss the existing challenges and look forward to achieving the RCS targets.
