CGP Evariste Murenzi is on a 3 days working visit to the Kingdom of Eswatini,at the invitation of his counterpart,Commissioner General of His Majesty’s Correctional Services(HMCS), CG Phindle Dlamini.
On 14 July 2023, in Bangui , Central Africa Republic. Two female RCS staffs were awarded with medal for their contribution in Justice and correction.This is a UN Medal decoration ceremony for 63 GPP corrections officers from 13 countries serving in MINUSCA-Central African Republic.
The African Correctional Services Association (ACSA) is an organization that brings together heads of Correctional and Prison Services on the African Continent and strives to attain a paradigm shift in African Corrections and Prisons from punitive to correctional human rights-based system.
Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS); to deal with the issue of overcrowding in some of the correctional facilities, conduct an inter-transfer operation of inmates from the overpopulated CFs to less populated CF as one of the solutions to the aforementioned issue.
