Rwanda Correctional Services together with partners concluded activities of sharing festive season with kids living with their mothers in various prisons.
The activities that saw kids and juveniles inmates enjoying Christmas with officials through sharing food and drinks plus gifts ended on 27 /12/ 2018 in Nyagatare Juvenile prison. It started on 24nd December 2018 in Musanze prison .
Apart from sharing food and drinks, officials offered gifts to kids such as clothes, shoes, scholastic materials, toys among others.
While in Nyagatare Juvenile prison, RCS officials together with NCC joined juvenile inmates in festivities as 384 inmates got special food and drinks as well as gifts.
Inmate who represented others thanked RCS for the special care given them as they are offered basis education in primary and secondary school established inside the prison, and they all have enough space of games.

The RCS Deputy Commissioner General Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza said that RCS and partners took the initiative to help juveniles inmates to enjoy Christmas as other children outside the facilities to show them care and love.
“We realized that children all over the world are wished Merry Christmas but that ours who live with their mothers in prisons can’t enjoy unless we join them as they have no rights to go out” she said.
Nyagatare prison is having 384 juveniles inmates all were enjoyed festive season.
