Rwandan Correction Service Officers Serving in MINUSCA Meet with Ambassador Kayumba

A delegation of five Rwandan correction Service officers deployed as Government Provided Personnel serving under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Olivier Kayumba on July 14, 2025, the Rwandan Ambassador to the Central African Republic.

The officers held discussions with Ambassador Kayumba on a range of topics, including Rwanda’s contribution to prison management in the Central African Republic enhancing prison security, promoting professionalism, and upholding human rights within the correctional system.

Ambassador Kayumba commended the officers for their service and emphasized the critical role Rwandan personnel play in promoting peace and security abroad. He reiterated his full support for the deployed team and urged them to continue upholding discipline, professionalism and Rwandan values, especially important for those serving in uniform.

Rwanda continues to play a significant role in international peacekeeping efforts, particularly in advancing humane and secure prison systems in conflict-affected regions.
