On the 1st May 2013 Rwanda joined the rest of the world to celebrate the International Labor Day. For the Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS), it was an opportunity for its staff to celebrate the achievements recorded, discuss the existing challenges and look forward to achieving the RCS targets.
Having explained briefly the origin of the International Labor Day, the Deputy Commissioner of RCS, DCGP Mary GAHONZIRE appreciated the progress made by Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS) since its inception.
She highlighted that the well achieved work ennobles the person who carries out it. The Deputy Commissioner General of RCS called on the RCS employees to continue to carry out their duties as well as required in order to continue to contribute to the development of the country.
This event was also marked by the recognition of the best performers, to recognize their efforts and motivate the rest of the team to work hard.
