Minister Biruta commends RCS retirees for their dedication

Assistant Commissioner Moses Ntawiheba, who spoke on behalf of the retirees, said that they have dedicated themselves to their work and will continue to contribute in their future lives.

He said: “While we were still in office, we did our job well and with dedication. Although we are finishing our duties, we have not finished our journey of life. We will continue to contribute to the development of the country. We thank the leadership for the cooperation, respect and solidarity you showed us while we were in office, as well as the ideas that helped us complete our mission.”

CG Evariste Murenzi thanked the retirees for their contribution while they were still in office, wishing them a happy retirement.

He said: “Retired employees who worked in various fields, I take this opportunity to thank you for the dedication and hard work you have made in fulfilling your responsibilities in RCS. You will continue to contribute to building the country in your next life.”

Minister Biruta thanked the retirees for their contribution to building the country while they were still in office, urging them to continue to love the country. He said, “I would like to congratulate all of you who are retiring for the strength, dedication and loyalty you have shown throughout your service to this institution and even before coming to this institution because there are those who have come through other institutions. Retirement does not remove you from the wider family of the Rwanda Correctional Service. You will continue to be members of this family and continue to contribute whenever necessary. It is in this context that you also see those who retired before you. I also thank in a special way your families who were able to endure while you were working far away for their role in enabling you to complete your responsibilities. I ask you to be exemplary citizens wherever you go, just as you did your job well and were discharged with honor.”

The retirement of 25 RCS officers who have completed their duties is in implementation of the decision of 22 May 2026 by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Rwanda where he approved the retirement of 25 Correctional officers.
