Rwanda Correctional Service and Namibia Correctional Service Sign MoU

The agreement was signed by the Commissioner General of the Namibia Correctional Service, CG Raphael Tuhafeni Hamunyera, and his counterpart from the Rwanda Correctional Service, CG Evariste Murenzi.

It aims to strengthen the relationship between The Government of the Republic of Rwanda and The Government of the Republic of Namibia, particularly in the field of corrections, which is expected to Improve the Standards of Services at The Correctional Facilities and Centers.

The cooperation will focus on technical cooperation in the field of correctional services, improving correctional practices to realize the objectives; exchanging programs for the training of correctional staff; sharing information, education tours; developing research and study projects; joint workshops, conferences and seminars; sports and cultural exchanges; and any other form of cooperation mutually agreed upon by the Parties.

The agreements will last for five years.
CG Hamunyela received a souvenir gift from the Commissioner General of RCS, CG Murenzi.
