Ms. Mansaray was appointed by The Secretary General of the United Nations in September 2014. Before she had served as Acting Registrar of Special Court since its inception in January 2014.
The official visit aimed to strengthen cooperation and review progress on the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2009 on sentence enforcement.
During her visit, Ms. Mansaray yesterday 14 October met with Sierra Leone’ inmates and RCS staff at Nyanza Correctional Facility, where discussions focused on key areas, including rehabilitation, security management, food and social welfare, health and insurance provision, hygiene supplies, and recreation activities.

The sentence enforcement tusk remains with four inmates following the release of three and one died due to illness.
The Registrar praised the RCS for the progress made in enforcing sentences and expressed appreciation for the continued mutual cooperation between R-SCSL and RCS.
The visit underscores the commitment of both parties to uphold international standards in correctional services and promote justice and rehabilitation.
