Rwanda Correctional\u00a0\u00a0 Service (RCS) is an essential component of Rwanda\u2019s Justice, Rule of Law and Order Sector (JRLOS).\u00a0 \u00a0RCS\u00a0 \u00a0has the noble mandate of protecting the society from offenders incarcerated by due process of the law. \u00a0<\/p>

The mission of RCS is to provide safe and humane custody for prisoners both under-trial and convicts as and when sent by the courts, ensure their rehabilitation for their successful reintegration upon release.<\/p><\/div>

Intego ya RCS ni ukwakira mu igororero umuntu wakatiwe n\u2019inkiko hagamijwe gushyira mu bikorwa icyemezo cy\u2019urukiko cyerekeye ifungwa ry\u2019agateganyo cyangwa igihano cy\u2019igifungo no gukurikirana irangizwa ry\u2019igihano cy\u2019imirimo y\u2019inyungu rusange, guha umuntu wakatiwe igihano cy\u2019igifungo kigomba kurangirizwa mu igororero serivisi z\u2019igorora hubahirizwa uburenganzira bwa muntu no kumutegura gusubira mu muryango<\/p>

RCS ifite inshingano zikurikira:<\/p>

1\u00b0 gushyira mu bikorwa politiki n\u2019ingamba by\u2019igihugu n\u2019ibyo ku rwego mpuzamahanga byerekeye serivisi z\u2019igorora;<\/p>

2\u00b0 kwakira abantu bakatiwe n’inkiko hashyirwa mu bikorwa ibyemezo by’inkiko byerekeye gufungwa by’agateganyo cyangwa igihano cy’igifungo;<\/p>

3\u00b0 gukurikirana irangizwa ry\u2019igihano cy\u2019imirimo y\u2019inyungu rusange;<\/p>

4\u00b0 gutegura no gushyira mu bikorwa gahunda zijyanye no gusubiza mu muryango umuntu wakatiwe igihano cy\u2019igifungo kigomba kurangirizwa mu igororero ;<\/p>
